Advent in Berlin means visiting a Christmas market. Usually I find these traditional markets with Glühwein and sugary treats a bit like a repeat of the same old Straßenfest, but with glitter. But the Christmas market in Rixdorf is different. With stalls from all sorts of groups trying to raise money for good causes, many with really lovely handicrafts, fresh Turkish food, stalls manned by refugees and in one of the nicests old squares of Berlin, it is a real treat.

Have a look at a selection of the photos I took of the Rixdorfer Christmas market.
